Windows and doors

Windows and doors, repaired or replaced to code

Broken glass, bent frames, sliders off their track and doors that won't close. We cover the opening first, then fix it for good.

In Miami-Dade, new windows and doors have to be impact-rated or protected by approved shutters. We tell you the rule for your address, show you the options and write the choice into the estimate.

Impact products are made to order, so we cover the opening in the meantime and give you the delivery date when you order.

What's included

  • Impact-rated windows and doors with a county product approval

  • Frame, sill and wall repair around the opening

  • Sliding doors and entry doors

  • Shutters, where you choose them

  • The permit and the final inspection

A window sash removed for repair, with a cordless drill and a hammer on the sill

What changes the cost

We list each opening on its own line.

  • Size and number

Every opening is measured and priced on its own.

  • Impact glass or shutters

Two ways to meet the same rule, with different costs.

  • The frame and the wall

Stucco and framing around a window often need repair too.

  • Lead time

Made-to-order products arrive on the maker's schedule.

We pull the permit and tell you the delivery date.

  4. 04

    Step 4: Install and inspect

New unit set, sealed and inspected, wall patched.

Permits and rules

Replacing windows and doors takes a permit in Miami-Dade, and the product has to have a county approval. We pull the permit and its cost has its own line.

In an HOA or a historic district, the board may need to approve a style or color first. Tell us and we build it into the schedule.
