How pricing works

Your price is for your house. Here is how we get to it.

Every storm is different: the roof, the water, the openings. We put the number in writing after we have seen the house.

  • What decides the price

Five things: how much of the house is damaged, the materials, what is hiding behind wet drywall, how many openings, and what the permit asks for.

    • Tile, shingle and flat roofs cost and last differently

    • Hidden damage is priced on its own line when walls are opened

    • Permits and inspections are listed separately

  • What the estimate includes, and what it doesn't

The estimate lists the work in writing: what comes out, what goes in, each material, the permit, the timeline and the total.

    • Included: tear-out, hauling, materials, labor, clean-up and the permits we pull

    • Not included: upgrades beyond what was there, landscaping, fencing and contents

  • What happens at the visit

About an hour. We photograph the damage, measure, and ask for the claim number if you have one. There is no charge for the visit or the written estimate, and nothing is due until you sign.

  • After hours

The tarp line is answered day and night. If an after-hours call carries a charge, we say what it is and write it down before the crew starts. Tarp work is its own line on the estimate.

  • When you get the number

In writing, a few days after the visit and before the rebuild starts. Your insurer's number and ours may differ; we show you the lines that do, so you can talk to your adjuster.

Your deposit and payment schedule are in your contract and follow Florida law. When an insurer pays, we tell you what is due and when.

Ask us

Not sure what to ask for?

Tell us what happened and what is hardest to live with today. We'll write what we'd do first, and what could wait.

If your insurer's number is lower than ours, we'll mark the jobs by priority so you can decide where to spend.

Questions

About money

Do you arrange financing?

No. We don't arrange loans. Your bank or credit union can quote you.

Is there a deposit?

The contract says how much and when. We don't ask for the full amount up front.

What if the price changes?

Only when the work changes, and only after you've seen it in writing and agreed.

Can I compare your estimate with another?

Please do. Ours lists each line so the comparison is fair.
